Unfortunately, this line isn't quite so defined in photography. What makes a photo good? This whole post is an attempt to try and compare two photos that I've taken (a few minutes ago, actually!) and see what makes a bad photo, or a good one.
Before I begin, let me make it very clear that I am by no means a professional photographer, nor have I had any training! Be easy on me!
GOOD:
BAD:
The subject it's supposed to represent (a broccoli bit) isn't in focus, yet my legs in the background are. Because you can't even see what the "main part" of the image is, the entire purpose is killed, leaving this as wasted memory card space.

I like your first picture. It looks epic. To make it just a wee bit better, if that's possible, you can make the clarity better. As for the purposefully bad one. It's way to blurry and icky. xD
I like the fact that it's broccoli though =]
In your second picture, it doesn't even look like broccoli. It kinda looks like a tiny green lego. I guess thats why it's the bad picture. As for your good picture, excellent use of vantage point and angles. I love it.
u have a good talent in photography
THIS IS ZE ALMIGHTY JONATHON.
The picture with the books, really shows how lighting and perspective helps, while the other picture is very blurry, and hard to see.
the first one is awesome.
it shows a great angle, and great lighting, and it looks great!
it looks really cool, and the second one it doesnt even look like a piece of brocoli!
I love the first one, it's awesome I mean the whole thing just screams I'm really good. The other one was blah though, but it really sent the message.
